Dr. Ahmed Adam Mohamed is the visionary founder and CEO of eHealth Somalia, where his leadership has been key to driving digital transformation in Somalia’s healthcare system. With over a decade of experience in health systems strengthening, Dr. Ahmed has positioned eHealth Somalia at the forefront of healthcare innovation. His focus on integrating technology to address the country’s healthcare challenges has led to the development of solutions that improve access, enhance service delivery, and ensure quality care for all, particularly underserved communities in Somalia.


Dr. Ahmed’s impressive career includes leading major health initiatives, developing national strategic health plans, and managing research projects that have shaped the health sector landscape in Somalia. His academic credentials, including a PhD in Environmental Studies (Climate Change) and an MPH, provide him with the expertise to align  Somalia’s Health sector goals with sustainable tech-driven healthcare solutions. Dr. Ahmed’s extensive experience in national health policy, emergency preparedness, and health system governance qualifies him to lead eHealth Somalia in transforming the country’s healthcare landscape, revolutionizing healthcare and delivering impactful tech-driven solutions for Somalia’s future.

Eng. Ahmed Siyad

Board Member of eHealth Somalia

As a founding board member of eHealth Somalia, Eng. Ahmed Siyad brings a wealth of expertise in digital transformation, focusing on using technology to modernize and expand healthcare services across Somalia. His deep understanding of both the technical and strategic aspects of digital infrastructure makes him an indispensable asset to the organization’s efforts to enhance healthcare delivery through technological innovation.


Beyond eHealth Somalia, Eng. Ahmed is recognized for his leadership as CEO of the Somali Research and Education Network (SomaliREN) and Chair of the Somali Network Operators’ Group (SomNOG). His work in strengthening Somalia’s digital connectivity, alongside his academic background a Master of Science in Telecommunications and Networking and a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications, positions him as a key player in advancing e-governance and building resilient digital systems in both education and healthcare sectors.


Dr. Abdullahi Nour Omar

Board Member of eHealth Somalia

Dr. Abdullahi is a visionary board member of eHealth Somalia, where he drives the organization’s mission to transform healthcare through cutting-edge digital innovation. His strategic leadership is pivotal in advancing eHealth solutions that improve healthcare delivery, enhance accessibility, and optimize operational efficiency across Somalia. Dr. Abdullahi’s expertise in integrating technology with healthcare systems is crucial to implementing impactful digital health initiatives that address critical challenges in the region.


In his additional role as the Head of Health Governance and Stewardship at the Ministry of Health & Human Services, Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Abdullahi aligns national health policies with eHealth advancements. He oversees the integration of digital solutions into health governance and policy frameworks, ensuring that reforms support the effective deployment of technology in healthcare. With an MBBS, MSc in Healthcare and Hospital Management, and MPH, Dr. Abdullahi’s extensive qualifications and dedication to digital health underscore his commitment to advancing healthcare standards through innovation.



Dr. Abdirizak Hersi Hassan

Dr. Abdirizak Hersi Hassan is a distinguished board member at eHealth Somalia, where his exceptional leadership and expertise are crucial in shaping the organization’s digital health strategies. His extensive experience in public health policy and system governance provides invaluable guidance on how digital solutions can be effectively integrated to strengthen Somalia’s healthcare infrastructure. Dr. Abdirizak’s strategic oversight ensures that eHealth Somalia’s initiatives are aligned with best practices and significantly enhance healthcare delivery and access across the nation.
Dr. Abdirizak’s remarkable background includes his role as Senior Technical Health Advisor, where he has influenced national health policies and reforms. His previous experience as Director-General for the Ministry of Health in Puntland and his work with the World Health Organization (WHO) further underscore his deep understanding of health systems and governance. With a Master’s in Health Leadership and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Abdirizak’s academic and professional achievements uniquely qualify him to drive impactful health innovations at eHealth Somalia, making him a vital asset in advancing the organization’s mission to transform healthcare in Somalia.

Dr. Amal Naleye Ali

Operations Manager at eHealth Somalia

Dr. Amal Naleye Ali is the Operations Manager at eHealth Somalia, where she leads digital health initiatives to improve healthcare delivery across Somalia. With an MBBS degree, she combines clinical expertise with strong leadership and operational skills, making her highly effective in overseeing complex health projects.

Dr. Amal is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and monitoring of initiatives that leverage technology to strengthen the healthcare system. She excels in coordinating teams, optimizing resources, and ensuring projects align with organizational goals, driving impactful outcomes for communities nationwide.



Dr. Mohamed Mustaf Ahmed

Director of Research & Innovation at eHealth Somalia

Dr. Mohamed Mustaf Ahmed serves as the Director of Research and Innovation at eHealth Somalia, where he leads pioneering initiatives to advance healthcare delivery through cutting-edge digital technologies. An esteemed academic researcher and digital health innovator, Dr. Mohamed seamlessly integrates his expertise in medicine with advanced data science and artificial intelligence.

 

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Mohamed holds a MBBS. His multidisciplinary approach enables him to spearhead transformative projects that enhance healthcare accessibility and quality across Somalia, reflecting his commitment to advancing the frontiers of digital health.
